“Shoot for the Moon, even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars” My name is Mary Delac and I am blessed to have spent the last 21 years of my life working as a teacher or administrator in Catholic Education. I came to Our Lady of the Angels from the Archdiocese in Kansas City, Kansas where I spent 7 years as a teacher and then began my life as a principal. This is my fourth year at OLA and I can personally attest that the community of OLA is extremely welcoming and open. I received my undergraduate degree from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas and my Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. My best training however has come from the students, teachers and families that I have been privileged to work with over the years. Our Lady of the Angels is an excellent school in the heart of the city with outstanding and dedicated teachers and staff. We are proud of our students and our rich cultural and linguistic diversity. At OLA, college starts here for our students. We believe in the potential and the intellectual wealth our students bring with them and we work hard to cultivate it. My educational philosophy is simple: I believe all children can learn in a Christ like environment I believe in demonstrating compassion for the needs of our students, teachers, parents and community I believe in providing the best educational services to our students, teachers, parents and community
